About Sonance Studio
Sonance Studio was formed by Peter Hawes, a former journalist and corporate communication executive who in two decades in custom publishing has overseen the creation of more than 50 corporate, business and family history books, ebooks, audio books and videos.
He launched his own storytelling studio with a passion for helping clients unearth, craft, preserve and employ powerful legacy stories with clarity, purpose and the future in mind.
Peter and the team of editorial, design, audio, video, printing, production, event-management and other professionals that he has assembled provide high-trust, high-touch service to corporations, multi-generational private businesses, high net-worth families and legacy-driven enterprises of all kinds.
How We Work
Personal service is a hallmark of Sonance Studio. We operate from core values of integrity, partnership and collaboration, creativity and craftsmanship, egoless empathy and confidentiality.
Sonance projects are grounded in strategic thinking, journalism-level story integrity, striking creativity and design, end-to-end craftsmanship and a promise to exceed expectations.
We work for you, meaning that everything we create is done with your approval. You own the rights to all work, and we run with as much intimacy or independence as fits your preference, time and culture.
With our experts driving the process and managing the day-to-day, your involvement is strategic, structured and paced—not burdensome.
We begin every engagement by defining and aligning on objectives, project goals, intended audiences, messaging priorities, content/sensitivity boundaries, schedules, and identification of client- and Sonance-side resources and team members. We then deliver our work according to clear parameters and scheduled checkpoints, milestones and approval/revision loops.
The Sonance Team
The creative team at Sonance Studio features some of the most accomplished authors, editors, researchers, designers and production specialists in the industry. We custom build a team for every client, matching skills, experience and personalities to the requirements of the job and the culture of the client.
